Refund Policy
Last updated: 25 April 2026
Every Lumen Labs purchase is processed by Apple or Google. They collect the payment, they hold the payment data, and — by the terms of their platforms — they handle refund requests. We don't see credit card details at any point, which means we also can't process a refund directly. Here's how to get one.
How to request a refund
Apple and Google each have their own refund process. Use the one that matches where you bought the app:
- Apple App Store: go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the purchase, and follow Apple's request-a-refund flow.
- Google Play: follow Google's refund process from within Play Store or your Google account.
Why we can't refund directly
We never receive your payment information. Apple and Google handle the transaction end-to-end and send us only an anonymised confirmation that a purchase has happened. We don't have the ability to reverse a charge on our side, because the charge was never on our side to begin with.
This is a deliberate architectural choice — it means payment data cannot leak from us, because we never hold it.
Cancelling a subscription
Subscriptions are managed by the platform, not by us. You can cancel at any time:
- iOS / iPadOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → select the app → Cancel Subscription.
- macOS: App Store → your name → Account Settings → Subscriptions → Manage.
- Android:Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select the app → Cancel subscription.
We cannot cancel on your behalf because we don't have the authority to — only the platform does.
Support
If your app isn't working, a feature is broken, or you have a complaint about the product itself, email [email protected]. We respond to every message. But for refund requests specifically, please go through Apple or Google — it's faster for you and it's the only path that actually results in money coming back.
